Construction Progress Update

Exciting changes are underway at the former ABC cinema site as McAleer & Rushe Contracts UK Ltd, working on behalf of Thrive Living by Retirement Villages Group, continue the redevelopment project. The site will feature 167 apartments, retail units, and communal spaces across four residential blocks.

Since our last newsletter, we’ve made significant strides on site:

Progress Highlights:

• Concrete frame completed for Blocks B & D
• Blocks A & C are 40% complete
• Scaffold work ongoing on Blocks B & D
• Façade work started on Block D

Next Steps:

• Continued concrete work on Blocks A & C
• Façade work progressing on Block D and starting on Block B
• New Traffic Management Plan (TMP) for Church Road
• Site cabins removed as welfare facilities move inside

Community Updates:

• A new pedestrian crossing will be introduced on Church Road.
• A public defibrillator is available at the Site Office for emergency use.
